Pumped Up Kicks

Up until now my countless pairs of designer "sky-high" stilettos have been the most talked items in my wardrobe.  In fact, most people who know me have probably never seen me in a pair of flats, let alone a pair of sneakers.  Admittedly, I currently own only one pair of sneakers so a blog post about one of the season's hottest sneaker trends- metallic, pastel and studded high tops- will likely come as a surprise to many.   But if there's one sneaker trend I'm going to follow this Spring it's these fancy kicks with high heels hidden inside.
The problem with sneakers for me has always been what I perceived to be their lack of femininity- I never understood their appeal as in my opinion there was nothing sexy or stylish about them.  While sneakers may have looked easy on the feet, I was never tempted to trade in my trademark stilettos and instead always chose to sacrifice comfort in the name of fashion.  To my delight, however, I can now have my cake and eat it too with these stylish high tops that are sure to keep my pretty little feet from aching, while making the fashion statement I sought from those classic stilettos.
These kicks are the comfiest way to turn your boring outfits for running errands into something much more fashion forward.  But that's not all-  these high-tops are so versatile that they have also proved a perfect alternative to traditional heels for a night out.  For example, high tops look great with skinny jeans because they accentuate the fine tailoring of the pants, while making your legs look longer and more slender. Whether you're dressing for a shopping spree with friends or a night at the club try your hand at the skinnies and high top sneakers trend.
This Spring and Summer pairing your short shorts or boyfriend shorts with a trendy pair of high tops is perfect for flaunting your legs, as well as your sunkissed tan.  Find the best shorts for your body type and match them with the most in vogue high top sneaker designs on the market.
Though some might consider matching dresses and skirts with high tops taboo, the glittery pairs I've selected below will instantly add a touch of glam to any outfit and they're nothing like your regular old gym shoes.  It might be a daring initiative to popularize this trend, but the fashion critics have spoken, claiming high tops the "must-have" footwear of the season both on and off the runways.
With these fancy footwear you can turn any outfit into a casual or semi-formal look, depending on your clothing style and preference for eye-catching looks. The proof of their styling power is right here.  So if you love your sneakers, then you're in luck, as they're ultra-hot for this season.
