Spring is here, and its vibrant forecast has me dreaming of all the ways to style up an outfit that perfectly reflects its rainbow hues. This season, embrace a spectrum of bright, bold hues and a serious mix of flesh-tone neutrals and purple jewels. Check out the ROYGBIV runway standouts below.
Not So Mellow Yellow
The sheer brightness of Spring 2013's take on yellow is off the charts. Think lemon drops, sunshine, and sweet baby chicks. Don't be deterred by its bold outlook, though. What I love most about this latest rendition of yellow is its ability to be more than just a loud hue, as showcased by Oscar de la Renta's lacy sheaths and Alice & Olivia's slick pantsuits.

Crisp White
Sure, white is one of those noncolors that never really goes out of style, but this latest crop of minimalist white pieces gives us even more reason to wear it head to toe. Breezy white blouses, structural little white dresses, crisp leather toppers, and everything in between — the Spring '13 white is one that really has infinite styling possibilities.

Shades of Green
Some of Spring 2013's verdant wares will, in fact, make you green with envy. My favorite shades to emerge this season are Kelly green, forest green, seafoam green, and a gorgeous soft spearmint green. Wear your darker shades via a flowy chiffon sundress for daytime and a brighter shade in a sexy minidres for cocktail hour.

Candy Red
Fashion is red hot for Spring 2013, and I've got the fiery red pieces to prove it. Proenza Schouler showed off a shiny engine red version, while Ralph Lauren channeled a sophisticated Spain-inspired cherry red. However you spin it, these reds are sexier than ever.

Purple Reign
Along with a resurgence of pretty pastels and pinks, ladylike purple has also returned to Spring's main stage. In bright royal purple, satin-finished violet, and a poppy color that makes you wish you had a party to wear it to, this time around, purple isn't just for the ultrafeminine set.

Pretty in Pink
Even the girliest styler should prepare for Spring's electric shock of pinks. I love how rich these pinks are, which certainly accounts for its more refined feel instead of a youthful one.

Orange Rush
This Spring is all about bold saturated hues. Don't expect a Day-Glo orange, but rather an electric matte version that looks just as polished on a structured jacket as it does on a lace evening gown.

Natural and Nude
Along with the brighter colors (mainly the yellows and citrons of Spring), there was also an abundance of nude-toned dresses to hit the runways this season. I think the light flesh-toned hue is subtle, sweet, and totally sexy.

Citron Pop
Not quite neon, not quite lime-hued, and not quite lemon fresh, this pop of citron made its presence known just by being the new color on the block. On the runways, I've seen it take form in a high-octane lacquer at Proenza Schouler, a saturated matte version at Rachel Comey, and a softer elegant number at Diane von Furstenberg. What's so great about citron is that it inherently becomes its own statement — no extra styling needed.

Bold in Black
It's no secret that the all-black uniform is a perennial chic favorite, but come Spring, the sleek go-with-everything hue is taking on everything from Calvin Klein's little black dress to Theyskens' Theory's tailored jacket-meets-dress. I can't think of a sexier way to wear black in warmer temps.
