Winter's in Full Swing With Skater Dresses

The Limited

Skater dresses are feminine flares with flair that are just a modern version of A-line dresses.  As we all know the “A-line” dress/skirt silhouette is narrower at the top, and gently flares out towards the bottom, kind of like a letter “A”.  Skater dresses get their name because they resemble the shorter version dresses worn by figure skaters, that have the same “A” silhouette.

The skater dress has been around for a while, but has never been quite as popular as it is right now.  It's cute, flirty and will flatter all shapes and sizes while concealing those lower body “flaws”.  Another beautiful thing about the skater dress is it's versatility.  It can be worn on any occasion…whether to a party, to work, on a date, or on a random day when you just feel like taking the cuteness factor a notch higher.

Throw on a skater dress and you will instantly manage to look younger as it has that little cute girl vibe to it. There are all sorts of skater dress designs from long sleeves, short sleeves, sleeveless and even bandeau design skater dresses. The preference is yours.

Even though it’s cold outside, you can still wear this type of dress with a little leather jacket, cardigan, or tights. There are many ways to carry your skater dress throughout the fall and winter months. You may add on a belt to your dress to cinch in your waist some more, but the dress alone without the belt will cinch in your waist perfectly. So whenever in doubt on what to wear, grab that skater dress and get on the trend wagon.
