Posh Polish

Though I'm sad to see summer end (how did it go by so fast?), part of me is looking forward to all those little things that come with fall: the crispness in the air, layering sweaters and wearing leather jackets again, and swapping out my bright summer clothes and makeup for a moodier color palette. One of the best ways to accent this new fall look is with a fresh manicure. Here are the polishes I swear by for autumn.
Essie Fall in Line
I can’t wait to bust out Essie’s new dusty teal hue, Fall in Line. Usually I’m not one for funky colors, but I get excited thinking about my hands wrapped around a steaming Hot Toddy, my lambs’ ear-colored digits poking out from an oversize Prabal knit. A girl can dream, can’t she?

Zoya Pepper
I'm a big fan of Zoya's polishes (love that they're Big 5 free, and the brush is really easy to use) and I expect this dark red shade will be on my toes all through the winter.

JINsoon Tess Giberson Nocturne
Originally, I was obsessed with Essie’s After School Boy Blazer midnight blue polish, but a few weeks ago I was introduced to the JINsoon Tess Giberson Collection and Nocturne, a gunmetal dark grey, has won me over. I have always loved a dark polish that almost looks black, but I’ve never been so drawn to a metallic before. The slight shimmer takes away anything that might be construed as goth, and makes such a dark color seem a little delicate.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Rich Chocolate
For fall, I love a deep, burnt shade, like OPI's purple-tinged "rich chocolate" from their Brazil collection.

Tom Ford Nail Laquer Toasted Sugar
I’m a nude nail type of girl, but you’d be amazed how how difficult it is to find the perfect shade of nude polish. Tom Ford’s Toasted Sugar is as close to perfect as I’ve found thus far. It makes my nails look lacquered and long, and lasts a full week and a half (if I don’t wash dishes…which I try my very best not to!)

Christian Louboutin Beaute in Lady Page
This decadent eggplant has a lusturous sheen that looks alluring on short nails and fierce on longer ones.

Estee Lauder in Negligee
Just as the right lingerie can transform your figure, the matte finish of this camisole beige makes fingers appear longer and more elegant.

Burberry in Antique Gold
The exact color of your grandmother's charm bracelet, this burnished gold imparts glamour from another era.

Tom Ford in Black Cherry
Whether you're rocking khaki, taupe, or camo, this deep purple is a rich counterpoint to fall's best neutrals.
