Four Menswear "Rules" to Ignore
It's time to throw all that logic out the window.
1.
The Power Suit Reigns Supreme. Nope. Separates in unconventional shapes, like swishy skirts and confident culottes, create a fresh, playful take.
2.
Go Bold in the Shoulders. Working Girl was ahead of it's time, but leave the bulky jackets in the 80s. Softer, rounded shapes are much more modern.
3.
Stick to Blacks and Grays. Actually, pretty much any shade will work as long as it's on the darker side. Think deep blues and lush reds.
4.
Always Keep Your Footwear Feminine. Sometimes sky-high stilettos can compete with the look and read as try-hard. Switch to a pair of go-with-the-flow brogues.
