First Look at Jonathan Anderson for Loewe- Spring '15

As Jonathan Anderson receives a warm welcome at Loewe for his Spring '15 capsule collection, the fashion house underwent a tremendous brand revamp that intrigued the entire fashion industry.  Going by the timeless saying, “out with the old; in with the new,” Anderson poured his charismatic couture passion into Loewe’s new-found DNA.  In creating his collection, Anderson was spoken to by natural fabrics such as cotton, linen and leather, which is a stark contrast to the brand's former luxe, dark eveningwear-orientation.

Amongst the “au natural” lineup, Anderson created leather shift dresses and tops, colored knit halter necks and wide-legged leather trousers with broad tie-waists.  Adhering to his neutral vision, Anderson injected many of collection's pieces with rosey pinks, sky blues, shades of oatmeal and beige and classic whites. There's no denying, though, that the standout pieces are the leather and suede lightweight coats, which Anderson intended to be luxury daywear, giving Loewe a clever classic take on womenswear. Meanwhile, pleated circular shirts, crumpled tie-waist skirts and asymmetric knitwear in combinations of raw linen and humble cotton give off an air of modest wealth. Check out a snapshot of Anderson’s artisanal collection, finished off with paradisiacal prints and fine leather loafers that scream summer and easy-wear below.
